Empowering Women Business Owners!
The Women’s Chamber of Commerce (theWCCInc) – a community based chamber - is a multipurpose, multi-cultural, non-profit, business organization founded in the State of California in October 1999, by Cathy Jackson, an African Amercian small business women located in Oakland. Five Northern California Bay Area women spearheaded the organization as its founding Board members. The group has since grown to include African-American, Asian, Caucasian and other businesswomen who are committed to the concept of the Women’s Chamber.
The mission of the WCCInc is to promote economic prosperity and community vitality by providing the basis and infrastructure for networks to promote strong business enterprises and healthy communities by building consortiums and partnerships with government agencies, corporations and other business enterprises. The WCCInc provide resources, such as facilitation, training, education, and information programs on a variety of subjects, in addition, advocacy services and increased cultural opportunities for members. The WCCInc works with each member one-on-one and creates consortia to gain funding as a unit impacting women and girls issues.
The purpose of the WCCInc is to contribute to the economic, social, and physical health of businesswomen, women, girls, inspiring entrepreneurs, individuals, families, and communities - Impacting economic and community development.
